My Fashion Don'ts - Harem Pants

Harem Pants are just another one of those trends that looks amazing 2% of the time and a make you look like your wearing the bottom half of a chicken costume the rest of the time. I just can't get my head around these pants, they make your thighs look massive and your calves like sticks. They add the pounds where you need them the least!

To make matters worse, harem pants have that ridiculously low crotch that hangs only an inch or two over your knees. The cut is incredibly unflattering. Actually there is no cut at all to harem pants. It's jut a lot of extra fabric bunched up and tied together.

These pants have been around since that infamous MC Hammer video and somehow they keep coming back. It's like someone wants to have midget legs and an ass like Antarctica. I just don't get it !!!! I'm pretty sure the only reason people wear them is because they are comfortable, because it certainly isn't because they look like an elephant armpit.

Prada Baroque Sunglasses Look4Less

There’s no denying that summer is rapidly approaching. And one of my all-time favourite summer accessories is sunglasses! Never have I been obsessed with a pair of sunglasses.. until I saw these: the Prada Baroque sunglasses. These sunglasses truly are a work of art. I love the swirls at the side, they are somewhat reminiscent of the wavy Chanel glasses in 2007. The Prada Baroque Sunglasses cost €210, but fortunately I have found an alternative. Check it out below. Just click the image to shop!

As gorgeous as the Prada glasses are, they are a bit out of my price range. You really won't get anything closer to the original Prada Sunglasses than these gorgeous shades from baginc.com. The baginc.com sunglasses come in red, white and leopard if black is not for you. The sunglasses below cost €7, a steal in my opinion.

Valentino Rockstud Ballerina Flats Look4Less

The rockstud Valentino ballerina flats are the perfect pump for this spring and summer. These Valentino pumps are perfect for everyday wear but are also suited to evening and work wear because of their elegance and simplicity. These Valentino pumps have been sported by numerous celebrities including Whitney Port. The Rockstud Valentino ballerina flats are available from Nordstroms and cost €455. Even though these pumps are gorgeous, €455 is way to much to pay for a pair of everyday pumps.

I was browsing the internet when I came across the pumps below which are nearly identical to the valentino pumps. The cut of the shoe is the exactly same as the designer version, the only difference is the hardware and studs, the studs are silver whereas on the Valentino pumps they are gold. The pumps below cost €19 and are available from Forever 21.

Stella McCartney Floral Blazer Look4Less

Bold florals and blazers are massive trends this season. A blazer is an absolute essential to everyone's wardrobe. This floral blazer would look amazing with a pair of skinny jeans ad a neutral tank. Lots of celebrities have been stepping out in this blazer from Stella McCartney, including Beyonce and Miranda Kerr. This Stella McCartney Blazer costs €1260 and is available from farfetch.com (a bit overpriced if you ask me).

I love the colours in the Stella McCartney blazer but because I can't see myself dropping that much on a blazer anytime soon, I was forced to search for a high street alternative. The blazer below is from Zara and incorporates the same colour palette even though the pattern is different. This blazer cost €79.95.

Whistles Cara Leather Sleeve Jacket Look4Less

Leather sleeved contrast jackets have been around for a while and it seems they won't be going anywhere anytime soon. I personally love this style and I'm not the only one, leather sleeves jackets have been worn by Olivia Palermo and Emma Watson. A leather sleeved jacket is a statement piece that can be worn with almost anything. The jacket below is the cara jacket from Whistles and costs €345.

I love the khaki colour, it makes the jacket neutral and extremely versatile. Because leather sleeve contrast jackets are such a big trend there are countless alternatives on the high street. The jacket below is just these of these alternatives. It is from Charlotterusse.com and costs €27. One of the things that I love about both of these jackets is that they both extenuate your waist.

Charlotte Olympia Paloma Heels Look4Less

The Charlotte Olympia Paloma Pumps are absolutely gorgeous, and I'm not the only one who thinks so. These shoes have been worn by countless celebrities including Emma Watson, Olivia Palermo and Rachel McAdams. They are elegant, feminine, and unmistakably special, granted they definitely are not for the faint hearted at nearly six inches. These Charlotte Olympia heels cost €690 and are available from charlotteolympia.com.

I was browsing the Internet when I stumbled upon the heels below. They are not satin and do not have the same fan detail on the heel, but the do have the signature Charlotte Olympia platform. The signature platform is when the platform is smaller then the sole of the shoe. These does are from the Kelly Brook collection at New Look and cost €30.

Valentino Rockstud Leather Slingbacks Look4Less

This season the Valentino collection is totally rock chick inspired. I absolutely love these shoes, the picture really doesn't do them justice. I have seen a women wearing these gorgeous heels around the pavements of New York. This mysterious woman (who I followed for two blocks to get a better look) teamed these heels with a nude trench and a classic Prada saffiano tote in nude. I only wish to have her wardrobe sometime in the future!!! These shoes cost €700 and are available from www.forwardforward.com, click the image to shop.

After months of admiring these Valentino heels I finally found a high street alternative. The shoes below are from boohoo.com and cost €38. The are very obviously inspired by the Valentino rockstud heels. But of course at that price they are faux leather, but considering the price difference I think I can compromise.

Balmain Striped Jeans

Stripes and monochrome are two of this seasons biggest trends. These Balmain jeans incorporate both of these trends into one pair of trousers. These jeans are extremely flattering, the vertical stripe lengthens and slims the leg. These Balmain jeans cost €1323 and are available from net-a-porter.com. This price is down right outrageous, I can't imagine anyone paying that much for a pair of jeans. But don't worry I have found a nearly identical alternative.

The jeans below are from boohoo.com and costs €38. These jeans would look fab with a pair of heels and a leather jacket for a night out. But you can’t beat a pair of great-fitting jeans with a printed tee and a cool jacket for a casual look. A gorgeous pair of flats will finish the look off perfectly.
