Salvatore Ferragamo Varina Classic Bow Flats Look4Less

These ballerina flats are so gorgeous and the quality looks absolutely superb, don't you agree ? When you think Salvatore Ferragamo Pumps you automatically think the Vara pumps, am I correct ? The Vara pump was introduced in the 1970s and was a favourite of Princess Diana. The pump below, the Varina pump was introduced in 2007 and is a more modern spin off of the Vara pump. The Varina classic bow pump is a lovely and very versatile shoe worth having in your wardrobe. The Varina Classic Bow pump costs €350 and is available online from farfetch.com

Of course, although these are fantastic, perhaps you may want to check out the other option below if your budget doesn’t allow for such a large investment.
If you can’t afford Italian luxury, but still want Italian style, here’s a fantastic Look4Less I found from ALDO. The pumps below cost €50 and are also available in nude and black leather.

Water, Perfumes and 5 Other Daily Tips for a Healthier Life

They say the simplest things in life make us happy. With today’s world being competitive and stressful, our health and happiness are being affected by our surroundings. Simple things like water, perfumes and even laughter can change the way we view life and appreciate the things around us.

Healthy Life

So how do we become happier by the second? Follow these seven daily tips:

1. Munch on Water
No one can chew water but replacing your favorite junk food with actual water can help you feel full. At the same time, downing water helps your body flush out toxins and chemicals contained in carbonated drinks or processed food.

2. Wear Your Perfume
Your favorite perfume can instantly change your mood from plain boring to outright stunning. Knowing you feel prettier just by spraying a little here and there can get you in a happy mood. What’s even better is when you find
perfumes for less, especially from high-end brands.

3. Laugh Your Heart Out
We often forget that laughter is the best medicine. When we focus on struggles, problems and failures, these negative thoughts affect us psychologically which in turn stresses out more, making us feel sick. Studies prove that a hearty chuckle a day aids in smooth blood flow so let go of your sorrow once in a while.

4. Quit Smoking
That tiny stick of cigarette can cause huge health problems not just on you but also on people around you. Quit smoking and you’ll find yourself sporting a clearer skin, whiter teeth and lighter weight. Your body is a holy temple so do something good for it.

5. Control Food Intake
We all love buffets and those juicy quarter-pound burgers, but we have to know when to stop so we don’t give ourselves a heart attack. French people know when to stop when they had just enough. That will make more room for those sumptuous desserts. How about a little bit of macaroon?

6. Go for a Walk
Enjoy the scenery around you just by walking. That’s actually one way of touring and the best part of all is it’s free. Take at least 30 minutes a day to walk before you head to work or school or after having a hearty lunch. You don’t have to be a gym buff to perform the simplest cardio workout in the world. All you have to do is take some music and inspiration with you.

7. Write Your Thoughts
A lot of people suffer from heart ailments because they don’t have a healthy heart – literally and figuratively. While some people find it easy to confide their problems to their family and friends, others just want to keep it to themselves until their body can’t hold the misery any longer. Channel your deepest thoughts, worries and fears through writing and you’ll soon find yourself releasing debris of worries one by one.

Remember, the simple things in life are free and you don’t need to spend a fortune just to get a smile on your face. Because we know how a smile can turn a bad day into an awesome one, Beauty Encounter is giving away perfume treats for you and your man. Find out how you can join by visiting their

Dolce and Gabbana Red Lace Dress Look4Less

Every woman needs that perfect dress in her closet; the dress that hugs in the right places and flows away in the wrong ones. I know generally this is a little black dress but I’m going to argue that a dash of colour, on the contrary, is what will really get you noticed. There is nothing more romantic than lace! Especially red lace and this dress is both romantic and elegant. Yet, priced at €1950 this might break the bank for some (well, probably most) of us, so below is a Look4Less.

The dress below exudes elegance and opulence. The colour may be slightly darker and the lace may not be as pretty as the D&G dress but for the massive price difference I think I could get over that. I love the fact that this dress is a midi dress and has long selves, you are totally covered up, but the lace adds a touch of femininity to the look. The dress below is from Oasis and costs a much more reasonable €60.

Facelifts: the good, the bad and the ugly

Once upon a time, that trademark windswept look and outstanding poker face was a sure sign the middle-aged gent or gal you we looking at had undergone facial surgery. Despite this, very often the result of facial surgery was a smooth wrinkle free result. But it didn’t look particularly natural. Arched eyebrows and cat-like eyes just didn’t seem like a good trade-off for banishing saggy jowls and loose cheeks.

Now, though, you’d be hard-pressed to spot a facelift in the crowds. With surgical techniques improving day by day, and anti-ageing surgery up double figures in 2012 alone, it seems everyone’s interesting in maintaining a youthful look. According to Sydney's Dr Jeremy Hunt, a specialist cosmetic surgeon based in Edgecliff, who offers a range of procedures, including facial surgery, facelifts remain in the top 5 of most common cosmetic surgical procedures after breast augmentation, nose reshaping, eyelid reduction and liposuction. So let's look at the options are there for those looking to turn back the clock?

Facelifts are only really ideal for those whose skin has begun to sag, but is still fairly elastic – the optimum age would be those in their forties and fifties. Elastin is what makes skin look taught and supple. So without it, the results are not as effective, as the surgeon will be limited to how much work he can do.

Another thing to remember: they really only work on cheeks and the lower part of the face. If you feel your neck is giving your age away, then a surgeon can help. But if you're looking to brighten and lighten your entire visage, you may need a brow lift or eyelid surgery as well. Most of the time, two or three surgeries are booked in at the same time to reduce pain and get an all-round better result.

Surgery is carried out under a general anaesthetic, and usually requires an overnight stay. Put simply, an incision is made by the tragus in front of the ear, and extends into the hairline and behind the ear. Sometimes, an incision is made in the chin, but scarring is minimal in these cases. The skin and muscle is pulled back and sutures are fitted in place. Depending on the level of fat present, sometimes liposuction is used to get a more defined and svelte look.

After surgery, drains may be fitted and compression bandages are put in place for healing and comfort. Recovery will generally take a few weeks, and any face and neck bruising can be disguised by wearing camouflage make up, so you won't need to forgo all your social engagements. This fascinating account from Liz Jones details her experience of having a  facelift, and really lifts the lid on what patients can expect.

For women, scarring is a lot easier to hide as it can be covered with hair. For men, it is a little trickier as hair along the temples may be thinner, but it is still possible.

The great thing about a facelift is that it all but stops the clock. Of course, as you get older you will still age. But the results are permanent and you'll look younger than you did had you not gone under the knife – something most people value highly when considering facial surgery.

They say life begins at forty. But by choosing a good surgeon, you can turn back time and get the glow and youth you had decades ago. It's as simple as a snip and tuck.

Burberry Heart Print Silk Shirt Look4Less

I am not the only one who has fallen head over heels in love with the heart motif. This shirt started out as a must-have garment that was rocked by the likes of Victoria Beckham and Donna Air. Even Harry Styles has declared his love for Burberry's sweet print by wearing the men's blue version to the One Direction This Is Us premiere in London in August. The Burberry Heart Print Silk Shirt costs €595 and is also available in black.

Fortunately for us, the high street has acknowledged this trend and spread the love by creating their own (very) similar shirts. In my opinion one of the best Looks4Less out there is this heart motif print shirt from Topshop. But Topshop aren't the only ones to have been hot on Burberry's trail, Whistles and New Look have both released budget-friendly takes on the heart print trend. The shirt below costs a much more reasonable €45.

What a Year !!!! (My Blogoversary)

I feel like I blinked and the year disappeared, and it was the most amazing year. It definitely had its highs and lows but I would love to go back and do it all over again.

I would also like to take a few minutes and thank all of you followers, commenters and readers of my blog. Never in a million years would I have imagined that people would actually follow my blog let alone comment on it. I really do appreciate each and every one of you. I get so excited when I get an email saying that there is a comment on my blog!!! Thank you all so very much!!

I should also say I have very gentle and mannered readers. Thank you for this! For the last year not once have I received a rude or hateful comment. I do appreciate this a lot.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me during the past year, both my readers and those of you who support me in my everyday life, you know who you are.

Jill Jill Stuart Mesh Polka Dot Dress Look4Less

The little black dress gets a twist with some elegant mesh polka dots. The beautiful black mesh polka dots with a flattering cut like this and you might have the perfect black cocktail dress. Jill Jill Stuart has a way of making even the simplest of LBD's standout in a packed room and this dress is no exception. I would wear this dress with an elegant bun, a red lip and very little jewellery. This gorgeous Jill Jill Stuart dress costs €185 and is available from Nordstrom's.

The Jill Jill Stuart dress has been embedded in my mind since I first saw it and when I came across the dress below it instantly reminded me of it. This Forever 21 dress is quite reminiscent of the Jill Jill Stuart dress, but of course for a much lower price. The mesh polka dot detail may not be as intricate as the Jill Jill Stuart dress but for the massive price difference I think I will get over it. The Forever 21 dress costs  €25. Don’t cha just love Forever 21 !!!
