When I discussed this trip with friends and family everyone told me I would feel very at home in Boston. And we certainly did. Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States and the European influence can be seen everywhere. It would be hard to find a city is the USA with as much history. Home to Harvard, the first University in the US as well as being the location Samuel Adams chose to give speeches advocating independence from Great Britain. With all this history, it would be crazy not to take a city tour!

Washington DC: Monuments by Night Tour with Urban Adventures
There’s something about
experiencing Washington D.C. after sunset. The moonlight makes it feel almost
like you have been transported back in time. Washington D.C. is a city I have always associated with one of my favourite films, National Treasure. Because of this association a vital part of visiting D.C. for me was seeing and experiencing the iconic monuments and landmarks. We visited Washington D.C. in July
too so a night tour is ideal to take advantage of cool evenings.

San Francisco City Guide
San Francisco was the first stop
on our American Adventure. And surprisingly it felt quite European to me,
almost like a Californian Lisbon. One important thing to remember is that every
neighbourhood in San Francisco is completely different and has a contrasting
vibe – from cute Victorian houses in Haight Ashbury to the colourful Castro.
